Several STEM clubs at CSUN are uniting to host a 48-hour virtual Hackathon in which students will be able to create their own products and present them to representatives of different industries. Students will be able to learn from mentors and STEM-industry experts throughout the event.

The Hackathon will give students opportunities to broaden their knowledge and their professional contact network, as well as provide an exciting environment through which new friends are made, bonding over new projects. This Hackathon's theme is Aerospace as it is a broad and exciting theme that encompasses air and space aviation (manned or unmanned), manufacturing, propulsion, power sources, avionics, infrastructure, training and education, and security. All involve STEM.

The Department of Defense, government, and private companies are all involved in Aerospace research and development because of all the wonders and security aerospace holds. Many aerospace projects have been reengineered for use by all on earth. Whoever controls space will be the dominating force on earth. One mission of this Hackathon is to mix creativity with industry; another is to expose as many students as possible to the notion of working in tech.
